I am very pleased to be able to report that California has taken a first great stab at the corporate practice of prying into our social digital identities by telling businesses they may not ask for an employees (or job applicant's) Facebook password. This does not keep them from looking at what an employee posts publicly, of course, but it is a great first-step toward the broader laws I hope to see come up this year in Washington D.C.
