Phishers: Your Card Has Been Declined

It's almost comical. Phishers are finding that a large percentage of the credit card numbers they're collecting are bogus numbers or they're on worthless accounts. So what's their response? Evidently, it's to validate the card number before they steal it! Go figure.

Usually, phishers encounter these worthless accounts when other phishers try to screw up their phishing campaigns, but it does make one wonder: if a phisher can validate a credit card number before they steal it, what's to stop them from declining your card because there's little or no available purchasing power on the card?
